Always something to look at

My birding has been limited lately, and walks in heavy cover under cloudy skies don’t produce many photo opportunities, but there is always something to see.

    I tried to identify a newt I caught crawling through our backyard in West Salem. I concluded he was a Rough-skinned newt after keeping him a couple of days. We let him go after finding that out due to his toxicity potential.
